The Harvest Initiative Office Opens in Fort Thompson
Feb. 2, 2009
The Harvest Initiative opened an office in Fort Thompson this week, enabling area residents more convenient access to the services offered.
The Crow Creek Tribal Council allowed The Harvest Initiative to use office space in the basement of the same building which houses the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
Crow Creek Reservation residents interested in finding out more about The Harvest Initiative are encouraged to stop by the office between 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays or between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays or Thursdays.
The office provides The Harvest Initiative staff with a perfect setting to assist local entrepreneurs, as well as a place to host training and classes.
The Harvest Initiative, Inc. was organized in the spring of 2008 to invest locally in native grown ideas and support socially responsible business development to move Crow Creek Sioux Reservation toward a commercially viable, self-sustaining economic environment.
