Crow Creek Market Analysis Completed

The Harvest Initiative completed and published a Market Analysis of the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation to support development of Hunkpati Investments, Inc.

The market analysis will be used by Hunkpati Investments (a developing Native Community Development Financial Institution) to develop loan policies and programs that meet the needs of the Crow Creek community.

Data was compiled through interviews of community leaders, a reservation-wide survey, and an analysis of secondary data from the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe and the U.S. Census.

The Market Analysis revealed a very high level of demonstrated need for business loan products, but also a critical need for technical assistance and development services.

The Harvest Initiative was founded in 2008 to invest locally in native grown ideas and support socially responsible business development to move Crow Creek Sioux Reservation toward a commercially viable, self-sustaining economic environment.
