Fort Thompson Resident Wins $250 Gift Card for Survey Participation

Dolly Wells, a Ft. Thompson resident and Indian Health Service employee, won a $250 Gift Card from Wal-Mart for taking part in a survey conducted by The Harvest Initiative.

The survey is part of a market analysis being conducted by The Harvest Initiative to determine community interest in financial literacy training and entrepreneurship.

The market analysis will be used in the development of a Native Community Development Financial Institution tailored to meet the needs of Crow Creek Reservation residents.

The Harvest Initiative was organized in the spring of 2008 to create and facilitate economic activity on the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation by assisting tribal members, either individually or cooperatively, through training entrepreneurs, providing access to capital and enhanced financial literacy.
